Tests!

Sup readers!

I have so many tests tomorrow! I have a Math, Bible, and Language test all on the same day! I don't really have anything else to say. I just wanted to express my distress to all of you.

I Wonder: Will I fail my tests? (Right now, it seems like it!)

Memorial Day

Hi guys!

I know I'm a bit late for Memorial Day. But I didn't have the time to tell u how much fun I had yesterday! So here it is now. On Monday, we had a barbecue. I invited my friend from school over. My dad invited his friend over. My mom invited her friend over. So we all had friends over. There was also this 4-year-old girl that was my mom's friend's daughter. My friend and I watched her and played with her. She was so cute! At one point, she wanted to act out scenes from the movie Frozen. So I was Olaf, my friend was Anna, and the girl was Elsa. Half the time, I didn't know where we were in the movie! We also did a lot of other stuff while the adults talked. Awesome time!

I Wonder: Will we have a barbecue again next year?

Happy Belated Memorial Day!

School Dance: Party Time!

Hey guys!

Tonight was the school dance!!! I had a lot of fun. So, when I first got there, it was kinda awkward. My friends were there, and other people, but no one was really dancing. We just stood around and talked and ate (the food was good!). Then, after a while, some of us just started moving around, you know, getting loose and warming up. The dance was from 6:00-9:00 pm. By 7:30, we were all sweaty from dancing! There were balloons, and we started playing with them. I started chasing a few girls around, trying to hit them with a balloon! At about 8:40, we decided to play Musical Chairs. I lost. It was funny because the two girls that were competing for the last chair were trying to push each other off. There was so much laughing and shouting. When familiar songs were playing, we would all shout/sing the lyrics. By we, I mean all the girls at the dance. All the boys were sitting around and talking. The girls sometimes formed circles and just jumped and danced around. Can't wait for next year!!!

I Wonder: What will the next theme be? (This years, BTW, was Under the Sea. I don't know if I said it yet, so there it is.)

School Dance

Hi guys!

So, some of you may know that there's a school dance coming up. Bacon Girl and Sunshine Rainbow Girl have mentioned it. I haven't yet, so here it is now. The theme is Under the Sea, so my dress is perfect! It's that blue dress that I posted on my post A Wedding. I'm wearing simple black flats for dancing. It's on Friday. I'll tell you all about it!

I Wonder: This is my first dance. Will it be fun?

Happy Dancing!

Book #7

Hey readers!

For my book, now it's moving on to Chapter 3!

Chapter 3: Pranks
“Athena! Athena! Wake up! You’re going to be late for school!”
“What time izzit?” I complained.
Mom came in. “You have to get up, Athena. Breakfast is ready.”
I dragged myself out of bed and got dressed. It’s already been almost three weeks of going to my new school, and still I wasn’t used to the new schedule. I went downstairs. Ruby was already there, texting and eating at the same time. I quickly inhaled scrambled eggs and a piece of buttered toast. While eating, Dad came in with the mail. “Bills, advertisements, and a coupon,” he muttered to himself as he examined each envelope. “Better hurry up, girls. The bus will be here any minute.”
I finished, brushed my teeth, and threw everything in my backpack. Just as I slung it over my shoulder, the bus pulled up outside the window. I raced outside and climbed on. Grace saw me and smiled, patting the seat next to her. I sat down and took out my phone to check my email. One of the messages were from Lily Springwater. Lily had emailed me! Before I could read it, Grace said, “I love your shoes, Athena. Where did you get them?”
I stuck out a foot and replied, “Fillyflower’s Magic Shoes. These were on sale. Seven dollars only.”
I tucked my phone back in my backpack and chatted with Grace the rest of the time on the bus. Walking down the hall at school, I accidentally bumped into someone.
“Oops, sorry I-.” Then I realized who I bumped into. Calia.
She sneered and said, “Better watch where you’re going, newbie.” She gave me a dirty look and strode away.
“Ignore her,” Grace advised.
“Thanks,” I said gratefully.
We stopped by our lockers and got our books. The bell rang and we rushed to science class.

Hope you enjoyed this part! Thanks to all of you for your positive feedback!

This Weekend

Sup guys!

I didn't have time yestarday to post what I did over the weekend, so here it is now:

Saturday:
My only eventful day other than Friday. On this Saturday, I went to church to help watch some little kids while the adults had some meeting thing. Then I left early with my dad to go to this cool place called Maker Faire. Maker Faire is kinda like science meets arts and crafts. There was electronic stuff, like robots, and some art stuff, like make a bracelet. I made a pat-yourself-on-the-back medal out of felt. That was kinda fun. I saw a ton of 3D printers there. 3D printers are really cool. (Ask your parents about them. I'm sure they know.) Then I saw some flying drones (robots) fighting each other. Basically, people have remote controlled flying robots that try to knock each other out. That was awesome. So search up Maker Faire. There's a lot of cool stuff to look at and try.

Sunday:
Your average Sunday. I went to church, then to Chinese school. Nothing else, except homework, which is not something I want to blog about.

Fun Fact: To find the Maker Faire website, just search up Maker Faire, and click on the first link (I think).

Have a Happy Week!

Great America Fun!

Hi guys!

I had soooo much fun yestarday!!! As you guys know, yestarday (Friday) was our middle school Great America trip. It was awesome! I hung out with some friends. We rode all three water rides, getting completely soaked. We rode rollar coasters and a few kiddie rides just for the fun of it. And of course, we rode the merry-go-around. You cannot go to an amusement park, and not ride the merry-go-around. For lunch, I had this great pizza. And I also bought a bracelet.

Fun Fact: Goldstriker, the newest roller coaster in Great America, is the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Northern California. Wish I rode it! (I didn't get to.)

I'll tell you all about it either tomorrow or Saturday. If you've gone to Great America, comment below on what's your fave ride. If you haven't, comment No Go. See ya!

Book #6

Hey guys!

Here's more of my book!

“So, Ruby, how was your new school?” Mom asked.
Ruby thought for a moment while chewing her corn. “Well,” she answered,”My new math teacher Mr. Silvershine’s personality does not shine at all. He is, like, the strictest teacher in all of the world. He gave me a hundred problems just to see how much I know. I hate him!”
Mom and Dad exchanged worried looks. “Anyway,” Dad said, “How was your first day, Athena?”
I looked down, then looked back up. “I made a new friend. Her name is Grace, and she’s really nice. She showed me around.” I didn’t want to tell them about Goldway Gang today. Didn’t want to get them too worried.
There were a few silent moments while everybody finished up. Then Dad broke the silence. “All right, girls. Time for bed.”
I beat Ruby to the shower and got undressed. For once she didn’t argue about not getting enough warm water. Maybe the new school thing was that bad. After I had finished, while I was combing my hair in my room, Ruby came and plopped down in a beanbag chair.
“What’s the secret?” she asked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, come on. I can tell that something’s bugging you,” she said
“Everything’s fine.”
“Ok then, Miss Secret. But I know you. This problem will get too big, and since Mom and Dad won’t get it the teenage girl way, you’ll come to me.” Ruby said that last part rather proudly.
“I can figure it out myself,” I answered.
“Ahh, so there is a problem.” Ruby smiled and left.
“Grrr,” I said after her.

This was more of Chapter 2. Hope you enjoyed it!

Nothing interesting here today.

Shopping!

Hey guys!

I just got back from shopping at the mall. I got 20 earrings (Did I mention that I got my ears pierced in December?) for $10 from Claire's because my mom had a half off coupon. Then my mom got herself a pair of heels and we went to Bath & Body Works. There I got 2 lip glosses and an Island Nectar hand sanitizer. Pretty good day.

I Wonder: How many of the earrings will I actually wear? (Maybe all of them. They're pretty cute. There's a picture at the bottom.)

Happy Shopping!

Book #5

Hey readers!

I know I said that you might not see anymore of my book until summer, but apparently I had some spare time and was able to type up more. Here it is:

Chapter 2: Home
I was in my room when my older sister, Ruby, came back from cheerleading practice. Ruby was tall and blond, the kind of blond that was popular and drove boys nuts when she smiled at them. She was popular at our old school, and today I saw her moving in with crowd. Not Goldway Gang (thank goodness), but pretty close. Now that she joined the cheerleading squad, that only boosted her reputation even more.
She peeked into my room. “Dork,” she muttered.
“Pizza Face,” I called.
Ruby just rolled her eyes and went to her room. I smiled and went back to doing homework. Three hours and two spell practices later, Mom and Dad came home. They both work at Fairie Inventions Inc. Dad made a beeline for the hover-puter, and Mom started dinner. After a while, Mom called, “Food is ready!”
Dad quickly shut off the ‘puter, and Ruby raced downstairs, while I trudged down. This was the moment I dreaded. This was the time to tell my family about my new school.

Not a lot, but I probably will have more of this chapter tomorrow or something. Hope you enjoyed it!

No Fun Fact or I Wonder this time

Spring Fling Fun!

Hi guys!

Spring Fling was awesome! We walked to the lake, and then we started filling up water balloons. It was fun hitting and splashing people. Then we had burgers and hot dogs and chips for lunch. Afterwards it was kinda free time, and there was a volleyball net and we started a game of kickball, but with water! For the bases, there were little blow-up kiddie pools that were filled and u had to get in. People had water guns, and it was so cool! Then I went to the playground with some friends. I had to change 'cause I got wet.

I Wonder: Will next year's Spring Fling be as fun?

Spring Fling

Sup guys!

So, as you know, this week was Terra Nova Testing. Well, for my school, every year at the end of testing, middle school gets to go to this thing called Spring Fling. We walk to the nearby lake and just spend the day there! How awesome is that! I'm hoping that it'll warm up a bit so that we can play with water balloons 'cause recently it's been kinda cool. Fingers crossed!

I Wonder: What will Spring Fling turn out to be? (In case you're wondering, this is my first Spring Fling.)

Happy Spring!

Book #4

Hi guys!

So, I haven't really posted my book. Truth is, I totally forgot about it until my friend reminded me. So here is more:

I sat there, bored, as Mr. Starbright talked about geometry. I wish I had Spell-Casting class, or even Wands (which I was horrible at). Humans think that fairies all have exotic classes, which we do, but we still learn the basics: math, history, science, and language arts. Just all fairy-ish. For example, for math, we’re learing how to calculate the perimeter and area of different wing types. I started to gaze off, thinking about the day. About Grace, Goldway Gang, the dodgeball game. About everything else too, really. This school, Wonder Wings High, may not be the worst school ever. I have Grace. She might be the only one, but that doesn’t matter. At least someone won’t hate me. For the rest of the period, I was spaced out, thinking. It’s amazing that I didn’t get caught. I already knew all this stuff anyway, from my old school. Finally, after thirty long minutes, it was time to go home. I packed my stuff and got into the flying school bus. At least Grace also rode the bus, so I won’t be lonely. I sat down next to her, but we didn’t really talk. I kept comparing Wonder Wings with my old school, Magic Maple High. Sure, I still missed my best friend Lily, but with Grace, I figured I would survive. As the bus pulled up at my stop, I got out and looked back. Grace did a little wave at me. I waved back. Turning toward home, I felt that my new school wasn’t so bad after all. Maybe it never will be, but I soon found out how wrong I was.

There's another cliff hanger for you. I really need to add to my book so don't really expect more until summer starts and I can start writing again.

I Wonder: How will my book turn out?

Thanks for Reading!

Terra Nova Testing

Sup guys!

This week at my school, there is something called Terra Nova Testing. It's basically like SATs, except this is just to show what you know. It's really boring and really long. But it's only a week so that's good! There's also always good snacks.

I Wonder: Will I do good this year?

Nothing Happened

Hey guys!

As you can tell from the title, today was a boring, average Saturday. I did Chinese homework, I practiced piano, and I watched TV. Usual Saturday. Nothing happened.

I Wonder: How many more Saturdays will be as boring as this one?

Band Awards

Hi guys!

Tonight is my schools Band Awards. I have to go 'cause I play the flute in Advanced Band. It's a potluck, and then the bands have to play, and then the awards are given out. This is my 3rd Band Awards. I've been playing since 4th grade. That's the minimum age.

I Wonder: What type of food will be at the Band Awards tonight? (As you can see, I'm a little hungry right now. The dinner starts at 7:00 pm.)
