So Many Projects! + Open House

Hi guys!

For school, I have so many projects to work on! Reason why: Open House is coming up! Open House at my school is basically every grade does a ton of projects and decorates their classrooms. Then on some Friday night, all the parents come and see. It's really cool to see what the other kids have done. For my class, we have to finish a report plus lots of other in school projects that are fun but a little stressful. That's all for now!

I Wonder: What are the other grades going to do this year?

TV

Hi guys!

So, today I watched a lot of TV. I know, not very good. But very relaxing. One of my favorites shows is called Once Upon A Time. It's about a town where everyone is a character in a fairytale. It's very interesting. If you want to watch it, it's on Netflix. Awesome show. My friend came over, and we watched Once Upon A Time. Then we decided to do something else. We just talked. Try the show. It's so good!

Fun Fact: Once Upon A Time was made by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. Sorry, that's all I found.

Happy TV Show Watching!

Soccer + Jog-A-Thon

Hi guys!

I made the soccer team at my school! Well, for my school, if you show up at tryouts, you make it because we desperately need players! So, it's been fun. I am so sore! Our first game is next Tuesday. Oh, and another thing. My school held a Jog-A-Thon to raise money for our Athletics Department. I ran 21 laps. It was yesteday on Thursday.  It was actually pretty fun. They played music and we had BBQ afterwards. Awesome!

I Wonder: What will the soccer games be like?

Passed!

Hey guys!

I passed! I passed my CM test! I thought I didn't do that well, but my evaluator was really nice, so I guess she let me pass. On my theory test, I also passed. Only got 4 mistakes. I am happy! So that's all right now. See ya!

Fun Fact: The CM test was held in Stanford University. I think.

I Did Ok

Hi guys!

So, what the title means is that for the CM test thing, I did ok. I mean, I don't know what I got yet, but from my own perspective, I didn't do that well. Anyways, still waiting for my test scores. I'll know on Wednesday, when my piano lesson is. See ya!

I Wonder: Did I pass or not?

Super Nervous!

What's up people?

For me, I got my CM test this afternoon at 2:00 (or 2:30 I forgot)! I'm really nervous. I want to at least pass! One of my songs is by Bach, which is really hard. Even if you don't know music, you should at least know some really famous composers, like Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. Bach's music is the one that is getting me really nervous. I'll do my best, but I'm sure that there's gonna be at least 3 mistakes in there somewhere!

I Wonder: How will I do? Really bad or really really bad? (and maybe good)

So Much!

Hi people!

I have so much to do!!! Basically all my homework are reports. I still gotta start some of them! Add on Chinese school homework and piano practice (practicing extra hard for my CM) and I have no time to relax! I did take about an hour nap though. It didn't help. I'm still tired. Whatever.

I Wonder: Will I ever finish?!

Certificate of Merit

Hey readers!

This upcoming Saturday is my piano evaluation, called CM (Certificate of Merit). It's very stressful. I have to play my warm-up scales, sight-read, like, 8 measures, then play 4 long and hard songs. Then after that, I got to go to my theory test. In case you don't know, theory is like piano homework. I like the theory test better because you don't have a judge watching your every move! The playing part is, yes, in front of a judge. I'm in level 6, so if I pass, I'm going to level 7 (doing the math!). I'm very stressed 'cause my songs aren't exactly good. Whatever. I'm gonna do my best!

I Wonder: Will I pass?

PS: On top of all that, at school, I got a ton of reports to do, including Great Lives!

Sunburn

Hi guys!

So, when I came back from Outdoor Ed, guess what I got? (Hint: It's the title!) A sunburn! On my face! It's itchy and red and not flattering in any way! At least it's not too noticable (I hope!). I have this lotion that was supposed to work, but it turns out that I'm allergic to it! Thanks to my mom, I have sort of sensitive skin. Luckily, I was able to wash off the lotion before it got too bad.

Fun Fact: Sunburns are from too much ultraviolet rays on your skin.

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patty's Day!

This is just a short post because I have a ton of homework. But Happy St. Patrick's Day! Wear green! Don't get pinched! Funny story (to me): this morning I pinched my mom because she wasn't wearing green and when she came to pick me up from school this afternoon, she was wearing green. And she said that it was so that I don't pinch her again! Sort-of funny. Whatever. Bye!

Fun Fact: St. Patrick used the shamrock as an example for the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That is why shamrocks are used today (I think).

Happy Wearing Green!

Outdoor Ed Fun!!!

Wassup readers!

I had a blast at Outdoor Ed! So here is what I did for each of the days. I'll try to remember the important stuff.

Monday: We got there around lunch time and got a tour of the place. Also got our roommates. I got roomed with my best friend. Almost my entire class joined the Banana Slug Club by putting a banana slug on their nose. I did it too. Just one or two kids didn't. Dinner: Hamburgers!

Tuesday: Got up and had morning class and afternoon class. We went hiking so much! That was the day we hiked most. We also put ash on our faces and ate ants that tasted like sour cream and onion chips. No joke! My roommate went home sick!!! Argh! Got a new roommate who I'm good friends with. We also went on a Night Hike and a Solo Walk. I only used my flashlight a little bit. Lunch: Make-your-own Burritos!

Wednesday: Morning and afternoon class. I think we put mud on our face this time. I forgot most of the day. Oh yeah, and some kid drank two pitchers of pink lemonade and had to go to the bathroom in the woods! Lol. At Evening Activity we had a Barn Dance. So much fun!

Thursday: Morning and afternoon class. Our guide was substituted with someone else and he ate poop! He picked it up, broke it, smelled it, then tasted it to see what animal made it! (Caution: these are trained specialists. Do not try this at home!) Just kidding! The poop was a granola bar that he planted to gross us out! We were grossed out but all laughing in the end!

Friday: Left and went to the beach. Tried to make a human pyramid and succeeded more or less. Super fun! Everyone went home except for me cuz I had a church retreat there on the weekend.

I had an awesome week! So much fun! I wish that I could go back. Sadly, it's only for sixth grade. But I had a spectacular time!

Fun Fact: We went to...(drum roll) Mission Springs! It's in Santa Cruz.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman

Hey guys!

I'm sure you've heard of that new movie, Mr. Peabody & Sherman. If you didn't, well, now you do. It came out on March 7. I just came back from the movie theaters. I watched it. It was pretty funny. In case you don't know, it's about a time machine. I really like it. I recommend it. I don't know why I'm using short sentences today. Whatever. See ya!

Fun Fact: Rob Minkoff is the guy who directed Mr. Peabody & Sherman. He's also the guy who directed The Lion King! Two awsome movies.

Packing

Hi readers!

Right now I'm packing for Outdoor Ed! Outdoor Ed is basically a science camp. My class is staying there for a whole week! Next week! As you can tell, I'm very excited. The older kids keep saying how it's super fun and how the food is super good! I can't wait! We're leaving on Monday. Due to security reasons, I won't tell you where until I've come back.

I Wonder: What will Outdoor Ed be like?

Spring Pictures!

Hey guys!

Sorry for not posting for the last couple days. I was kind of busy. Anyways, tomorrow is spring pictures. I don't know if I should be excited or not. I like it, but I'm not, like, obessed with it. I still don't know what to wear! I think I'll wear a sort of casual/nice dress. I'm not sure. Time to look in my closet!

I Wonder: What will my picture look like? (Good or bad hair day?!)

Great Lives

Hi guys!

At my school, there's this thing that's called Great Lives. We choose a person from our history time period, write a report about him or her, and dress up as that person and give a presentation. My class' time period is Ancient Civilizations, so I chose Hatshepsut. She is an Egyptian woman pharaoh, a very respected and great one. I was going to be Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, but we can't do a god or goddess (sad). I like to dress up, but the presenting and the report is not my favorite.

Fun Fact: Hatshepsut was the fifth pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. She is considered as one of the most successful pharaohs.

Oscars

Sup guys!

Right now I'm watching Oscars! I'm not very concentrated on this post right now. But it's on, so if you want to, turn on the TV and watch! (As you can tell, I like the Oscars.)

I Wonder: Who's going to win what Oscar?

Book #3

Hey readers!

Despite what you voted on the poll, I'm going to try to post my book about 1-3 times a week. Here's some more:

“All right, everybody! Today’s a game of dodgeball. No flying allowed! No magic allowed!” Coach Goldstone yelled, “Use human rules. Calia and Grace, you two are captains.”
We were standing in the gym. It was a big, spacious room with basketballs, baseballs, soccer balls, and pretty much everything else related to human sports, as well as some fairy equipment, all piled up neatly in one corner. Even from across the room, I could feel cold waves coming from Calia as she eyed me. “You are going down,” she mouthed.
The captains picked teams, and the game started. I was on Grace’s team. Just as I was about to throw a ball, the coach waved me over. I walked to him, and he asked me,”I assume you’re new, is that right?”
I shifted uncomfortably. “Ummm... yeah.”
“Do you know how to play?” he gestured at the game.
“Sure,” I answered,” I play it all the time.”
“Great! You can go back now,” Coach Goldstone nodded and turned away.
I rejoined the game with high spirits, but that quickly faded when I saw how it was going. Grace was alone with only two others. Over on Calia’s side, everybody was still there. Calia caught sight of me and pointed. “Everyone, there’s your new target! Whoever hits her first, gets to sit with Goldway Gang tomorrow at lunch. I might even talk to you!”
Dozens of students surged forward, eager for the prize. I noticed that there were mostly boys in the front. Every single ball missed me. I guess all the boys’ aims were off due to the fact that they seemed a bit too rushed. Anyway, I picked up a ball and threw it. It caught someone square in the chest. Grumbling, he walked away. Calia looked amused. “You may have some skill, but I’m the real star. I’m athletic, pretty, gorgeous, smart, nice, and everything else in between. Here’s a little reminder.”
She launched a ball at me. I snatched it out of the air with ease. Even Calia had a surprised look. I just smiled and continued. The rest of the game was a blur. Grace’s team was increasing fast, while Calia was sitting out, watching. After about another ten or so minutes, it was time to go to math. I was then given the title Most Athletic Fairy by my teammates.

Hope you like my book so far!

I Wonder: When will I finish this?

Exhausted

Hi guys!

Sorry I didn't post yestarday. I was soooo tired! I had cell group (basically a bible study group) come over to my house. It's usually at my house. (Yes, this is how I spend my Friday night. Sad, isn't it?) I was so tired this entire week, probably because I just got better. Still a little cough here and there, though.

I Wonder: When did my church start this cell group thing?
